Decadence is a high end clothing brand, offering a growing range of apparel available in the uk. The concept behind the brandname is the highest level of luxury or pleasure – and when I was approached with this concept, a few ideas immediately sprang to mind. I always like to highlight projects where the client has really collaborated successfully and contributed to the end result; and this was certainly one of those occasions.
I’ve also shared a number of the ‘runner-up’ concepts we explored before arriving at the selected one… To create something really strong, it’s often neccessary to keep going, even after 3 or 4 strong candiates have been conceptualised – as it could be the 5th or 6th concept that really blow you away. It can be a strange concept to throw away 4 or 5 strong ideas – but this enables you to ensure the one idea you’ve kept is the best of the best. Some strong contenders in the initial ideas for this project. But an even stronger final logo as a result.
