EL Craniosacral Therapy – Brand Identity Design

EL Craniosacral therapy approached me to design their new brand identity. I began, as always, by taking a deep dive into their industry and learning exactly what this specific form of therapy involves!

Craniosacral therapy involves working with body system, fascia. CST is unique in its ability to work with the source of symptoms on every level, whether mental, physical or emotional, it is a natural way of helping our bodies to rest and recover. This holistic approach can help with a wide range of conditions and situations, works with underlying causes as well as specific symptoms.

We crafted a logo which indicated a high end boutique level of positioning, and the promise of premium care and a luxurious treatment experience. The flourishes in the EL monogram are a perfect symbol of a natural, holistic approach, where the E and L in the logo are shown appearing to flourish together. The colour palette then sets the intended tone; a soothing teal / turquoise paired with copper.

Opportunity

EL Craniosacral Therapy required a premium, boutique identity that communicates restorative care and a natural, holistic philosophy at first glance—reflecting a practice that works gently with the body’s fascia and whole-person wellbeing.

Objectives

  • Establish a refined signature that signals luxury, trust and calm.
  • Express a holistic approach through an elegant, nature-informed visual gesture.
  • Define a colour story that feels soothing yet elevated.
  • Provide clear usage guidance so the identity performs across print and digital touchpoints.

Insight & Strategy

Craniosacral therapy supports the body’s ability to rest and recover—addressing underlying causes as well as surface symptoms. The brand therefore needed to feel serene and attentive. We centred the system on an intertwined “EL” monogram whose flowing flourishes convey harmony, gentle movement and connected care, supported by a poised typographic voice and generous spacing.

Identity Solution

  • Monogram: Interlaced “E” and “L” letterforms with graceful flourishes—an emblem of natural balance and premium, boutique service.
  • Wordmark: A clean, composed logotype designed to pair seamlessly with the monogram or stand alone where needed.
  • Palette: Soothing teal/turquoise paired with sophisticated copper—calm, restorative tones with a luxurious accent for headings, seals and finishing details.
  • System Rules: Clear-space, minimum sizes and lockup guidance to maintain clarity on appointment cards, vouchers, brochures and digital headers.
