An elegant website created to showcase stunning silversmithing and artwork created by Studio Perissos.
Case Study
Opportunity
Silversmithing at this level deserves a presentation that feels gallery-grade, not templated. The goal was to create an elegant, contemplative website that lets metalwork and artwork take centre stage while signalling the same craft discipline found in the studio.
Objectives (Business + User)
-
Showcase pieces with museum-like clarity—detail first, then context.
-
Use a calm, editorial layout that complements silver and gold finishes.
-
Keep navigation minimal and predictable so attention stays on the work.
-
Maintain design integrity as new projects and images are added.
UX Insight & Strategy
Viewers engage most when there’s a single focal point at a time. We shaped a guided-reveal journey: striking hero imagery → curated galleries → concise project notes and provenance details → clear next steps. The interface avoids visual noise; microcopy is precise and unobtrusive.
Design System & Content
The site extends the brand’s atelier tone to the screen: generous spacing, refined typography and a measured blue-green that flatters metal surfaces without colour cast. The monogram and cartouche appear as subtle cues in navigation and section markers, reinforcing authorship while keeping the work dominant.
Interaction & Performance
Motion is restrained—gentle fades and scroll cues that support progression without distraction. Imagery is optimised for crisp highlights and shadow detail; components are modular so new galleries can be published without breaking rhythm. Accessibility and contrast are considered throughout for reliable legibility.
Competitive Edge Now
Compared with generic portfolio themes, the experience feels edited and intentional: a quiet stage where craftsmanship reads instantly, supported by a visual system that’s recognisably Studio Perissos rather than anonymous “luxury.”
What This Enables
A platform ready for collectors and curators—equally strong on mobile and desktop—that can grow with new pieces, exhibitions and publications while preserving a composed, high-craft voice.
