As well as creating a fresh brand identity, I was commissioned to design and develop a new web site for AIM Events. AIM Events are one of the world’s first companies to combine world class event management with an exclusive nightlife membership service. They work with clients around the world to create bespoke events and cater to their every need.
The website was to be fresh and modern, simple and easy to navigate (and of course mobile friendly, if not mobile first!) – ensuring the same exclusive look and feel we had established for the brand identity came across nicely.
This is an advantage of using the same designer for the branding as the website; the two disciplines really do compliment each other perfectly in ensuring consistent results.
Case Study
Opportunity
AIM Events curate high-end celebrations for discerning private clients. Their site needed to capture the same sense of refinement as their events: immersive imagery, clear messaging, and an effortless path to enquire.
Objectives (Business + User)
-
Showcase large-format photography and film with clarity and polish.
-
Convey premium positioning from the first screen—luxury tone without overstatement.
-
Create a site structure that helps prospects move quickly from inspiration to enquiry.
-
Ensure the design adapts smoothly to both desktop and mobile.
UX Insight & Strategy
Event clients are emotionally driven but time-limited. The journey emphasises visual proof first (hero images, highlight reels), followed by concise copy and social proof (testimonials, affiliations), then clear invitations to get in touch. Navigation is kept light and obvious, reducing decision fatigue.
Design System & Content
The interface extends AIM’s refined brand tone: expansive imagery balanced by elegant typography, a calm neutral palette, and generous spacing. Content blocks are modular—showcasing portfolio events, team details, and service outlines in an editorial flow.
Interaction & Performance
Subtle transitions guide users without distraction—fade-ins, parallax reveals and smooth scroll cues that enhance polish. Optimisation ensures fast load times for image-heavy galleries. The site is designed for simple in-house content updates, so new projects can be added seamlessly.
Competitive Edge Now
Compared with template-led event sites, AIM’s platform feels curated and composed: imagery leads, text is economical, and the enquiry pathways are clear. The site balances emotion with practicality, echoing the experience of working with the agency itself.
What This Enables
A confident showcase for future clients, smoother enquiry generation, and a scalable foundation that preserves AIM Events’ high-end positioning as they continue to produce exceptional celebrations.
